The West has accused Iran of jeopardizing international navigation in the strait of Hormuz, where up to 30 percent of global oil exports pass annually, as the navy of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps conducts aggressive maneuvers toward foreign navies passing through the narrow strip of international waters, in what ship commanders said could lead to an armed clash.
