Racing or Bracing was the question lingering on everyone’s minds in the Middle East and beyond during the last two weeks. This after Iran’s proxies Hezbollah and Hamas suffered a one-two punch in both Beirut and Tehran, with senior leader’s assassinated by Israel, whether acknowledged or not. These threats were explicit, causing the targeted nation to wonder not if it was going to be struck, but rather when, where, how and what sort of counter-counter-strike it was to prepare.
So, while the Israeli population has been bracing itself for the double Shiite retaliation, foreign officials have been racing to avert escalation, especially with the imminent conclusion of a hostage release and ceasefire deal up in the air. To analyse this situation, we are joined by
