Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the United Nations this week for the first time in a decade, during which he challenged the United States’ global leadership and voiced alternatives to what he said was, the failed American policy battling Islamic extremism & terrorism in the Middle East. Putin’s statements come amid increasing involvement by the Russian’s in Syria, in which it has send high-tech weaponry and troops to boost its strategic hold in the chaotic region.
