The Islamist Hamas organization, which marked this month a decade since it took over the Gaza Strip by force from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement – an anniversary that also marks the bitter rivalry between the two Palestinian factions; the group is now facing new challenges that may weaken its prospects of controlling the Palestinian enclave for much longer.
