Memorial and Independence Days - Israeli Stoctaking at 75
Next week, the State of Israel will mark a day of mourning which at sundown will morph into a day of celebration - Memorial Day, then Independence Day. At 75, the Jewish State has reached a maturity which allows us to take stock and assess its position, both absolute and relative to where it has been and where it wishes to go. So what are the strengths and weaknesses in Israel’s military and security situation, what are the the chances and challenges, as it confronts the strategic outline close by on its borders, far away from them and indeed within them?
To survey the landscape, we are joined by Col. (Ret.) Dr. Eran Lerman, Co-host TV7 Middle East Review, Powers-in-Play Panelist, JISS VP and Editor in Chief of the Jerusalem Strategic Tribune, Brigadier General (Res.) Doron Gavish, Former Air Defense Chief, Israel Air Force and Amir Oren TV7's editor at large. Miri Eisin is sitting in for Jonathan Hessen.
