In a diplomatic breakthrough, both Israel and Lebanon agreed earlier this month to hold negotiations over the fate of so-called bloc-9 of a dispute off-shore gas-field. The talks will be mediated by the United States, and held under United Nations auspices. Hopefully, if deemed successful, some of the tensions between Jerusalem and Beirut will be alleviated.
