Countering Iran’s belligerent strategy

When the Islamic Republic of Iran set out to expand its reach throughout the Middle East, its ambition was to have it both ways, as cost-free as possible. Tehran developed a wide network of proxies to do its work for it, but also to pay in their own blood and livelihood should the intended victims resist the aggression. This plot has now been put to the test in the year-long war between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and other pro-Iranian forces, with Iran itself finally coming out of the shadows and joining the fray.

To take stock of Iran’s belligerent strategy, its prices and benefits, here is our panel:
From USA Prof. Russell Berman, Senior Advisor in the State Dept and currently directs the Middle East project at the Hoover Institution,
From Central Israel Col. (Res.) Miri Eisin, ICT Senior Fellow, Reichmann University and Mr. Amir Oren TV7 Editor at large.
