Spanish Ctizenship for Sephardis
Over 400 years after the expulsion of Spanish Jews, the State of Spain proposed a new law that would give the descendents of the expelled Jews an opportunity to apply for Spanish citizenship.
If the law is approved, most of the Spanish Jews, or the descendents of the Sephardis, could be interested in the Spanish citizenship. However, because anti-semitism is on the rise in Europe, some people are worried about the Jews moving back into Europe.
