Death Penalty?
In the history of the State of Israel the death penalty has only been applied once. We will discuss the death penalty in modern day Israel, in the light of the Old Testament, events and laws pertraining to it.
The program does not take a stand on the issue of death sentences as such. It purely presents the opinion of it which is generally accepted in Israel. We took a
look at this matter in October 2013, at a time when the public was inflamed as terrorists convicted of murdering Israelis were set to be released. We will hear from Professor Claude Klein, a specialist in constitutional law, and Rabbi Yuval Sherlo who specializes in ethics.
